How we check prices

Online stores

We call each store's catalogue once a day, usually before 06:00 WAT. Every price snapshot records the price, stock state and the time captured. Prices older than 48 hours are flagged stale and never counted as cheapest.

Markets

Our team visits Mile 12, Oyingbo and Mushin twice a week and records prices in the units traders actually use (paint bucket, basket, mudu, cup). We convert to price per kg using weights measured each month.
